Why Lash Extensions?
Aside from face brightening, eye widening benefits, here is why people opt to pretty up with lash extensions:
What happens during a Lash Extension Procedure?
After your Lash Artist has a conversation with you to assess the look and feel you’re going for, you just lay back, close your eyes and relax!
Your Lash Artist will then do the following:
Are eyelash extensions safe?
Yes, as they are applied with a non-toxic medical-grade adhesive.
Did you say Medical Grade Adhesive?
Yes. The adhesive used to attach the lash extensions to your own lash is physician developed and tested to be safe, fume-free with the highest binding rate possible under normal conditions. Given how tender and sensitive the human eye can be, the adhesive we use is ophthalmologist tested and carbonate free while still containing healthy lash promoting vitamins, peptides and plant extracts.
Are the eyelash extensions waterproof?
Yes. You will be able to shower, go to the beach/pool or gym with eyelash extensions.
Please remember to cleanse your eyelash extensions after any of these activities.
I wear Contacts, is that a problem?
Not at all, you’ll be fine. The adhesive will never touch your skin so no worries.
Will getting Lash Extensions damage my own lashes?
No, it won’t – as long as the extension is properly applied and cared for. This is why the application technique requires training and certification. Your natural lashes will continue growing because the technique requires that we take several different “separation” steps during the process; at all times attaching each extension to a single lash without eyelid contact.
How long will Lash Extensions last and when will I need touch ups?
Your eyelash extensions will last about 60 days. It is recommended to schedule your fill appointment every 2 to 4 weeks to keep your eyelash extensions looking fresh and full..
What if I choose NOT to get a touch up, can I take the extensions off myself?
NO! Please don’t forget lash extension are attached using an adhesive. You WILL damage your natural lashes if you attempt to remove these yourself. Only a certified Lash Specialist and Technician can remove your extensions for you, since it will require the use of an adhesive remover gel and careful separation.
Who CAN’T wear Lash Extensions?
How do I clean my face with Lash Extensions?
Carefully. Use oil free face wipes or oil free make up remover to gently clean your eye area. Be delicate around your lash line. Once the initial 24 hour waiting period has passed after you get your extensions, it’s okay to use water – again, gently. Don’t rub, pick or pull.
Exercise caution when using cotton balls/buds or any kind of fiber towel since these can catch on to your lashes and pull them out. Most of our clients appreciate having to take this kind of care since it’s good practice for keeping the delicate skin around one’s eye smooth and wrinkle free.
Can I wear eye make up? Mascara? Use Lash Curlers?
You can wear eye makeup, but it’s better for your lash extensions if they are NOT oil-based.
Lash Extensions usually don’t need mascara. In fact, most of our clients like extensions for that reason alone.
DO NOT EVER use Water proof or any kind of water soluble mascara when wearing extensions. They dissolve the adhesive extensions will fall out. Eye-lash curlers are also unnecessary since the beauty of lash extensions is that they already come curled.
